Visit Hungary For The Historic Site Of Great Football Hungary

The Elo all-time football ranking system has come to the conclusion based on decades of data that the greatest streak of sustained football mastery was achieved by the players of Hungary back in the 1950s. This is a historic site that you can visit. The Hungary team won the Olympic title in 1952 and then were denied the 1954 World Cup by a West German team that is now widely believed to have been doping when they shocked the world with their upset victory.

Hungary also beat England 6-3 in the mythic Match of the Century game in 1953 in Wembley. Of course England claimed that their loss was a fluke, that Hungary had merely gotten lucky. That claim was promptly refuted when the Hungary team won over England again 7-1 in Nep Stadium, Budapeset in 1954. Football in Hungary would never be the same.
